To express my fascination with the relentlessness of life, I have made big forms inspired by grains. Although these grains are tiny, their capacity to start new life are gigantic, which to me is magical. In that sense, I want the big size of my pieces to reflect the magnitude of that magic. I give these pieces a rough surface to obtain an organic appearance.By applying oxides I get an imperfect effect that gives my pieces their raw, perennial look, as if they were living repositories of an immemorial past.
